Perspective

DENALI PARK, AK - - Lydia and I got lucky Sunday afternoon and scored standby tickets on one of the Visitor Transportation busses into the park. (No personal vehicles are allowed into the park so if you want to see it you go by bus.) As employees of the park concessionaire, we get to ride for free if there are seats available. This trip was to Toklat which is about two-thirds the way into the park. One of the famous parts of the road is Polychrome Pass where the road is sometimes more/sometimes less than about one and one-half lanes wide....no guardrails and no markers as to where the edge of the drop is.
IN the above photo, a certain someone looks out the window at the drop. We are on the outside edge of the road which can be seen over the right shoulder of the certain someone. I know there are reflections and some shadows but this was the best shot to show: the spectacular scenery and what it's like to sit on the side of the bus that looks down and down.
STAY tuned for more scenery shots in tomorrow's installment.
