DILLON, SC - - We're on the move...again. However this summer we don't have jobs so we're just wandering. Lydia has a blog on what we're doing which you can link to via a link near my blog.
We like BBQ and look for new places, return to old places and make notes to return to some we've seen but haven't the appetite to try right now. Today, just inside the GA state line, we stopped at Jack's BBQ in Kingsland. The daily special was 4 ribs / two sides / Texas toast / ice tea and strawberry shortcake for desert. Yes, we ate it all. No, we didn't have supper.
We stopped at the South Carolina Welcome Station. Great idea because SC has decided to take advantage of some of its heritage. We now have a map of "The Great South Carolina BBQ Trail." The 'trail' takes in the whole state and lists/shows a whole lot of BBQ. Didn't get map. No problem because there are billboards (on I-95) promoting a BBQ Trail website in case you are hungry.
We'll have to come back to SC because tomorrow we're heading into North Carolina for a couple of days. Of course NC BBQ isn't too bad.
