A Plover flew over...and landed

...and then deciding we were a distraction.

ORMOND BEACH, FL - - A couple of days ago we headed North towards  St Augustine to see if any birds were hanging around at Matanzas Inlet.  Basically, not many.  But we decided to walk the shoreline anyway and we rewarded for our patience.  The BBP  spends a lot of its time breeding in Northern Canada and the Arctic after wintering as far south as the Florida coast.
