First in line

PORT TOWNSEND, WA - - You've got to be an early riser and quick mover to make it to second-in-line to board a Washington State Ferry.  We were. It's 7:00am and we are waiting for an 8:00am departure from PT to Whidbey Island.

    

     There was plenty of small craft activity to check out while waiting as well as our ferry, Salish, heading in to pick us up and a freighter heading out of port.  The photos don't have great contrast because you had to shoot almost directly into a rising sun.

     And then there's the ferry's wake as we leave one port for another and, eventually, Anacortes.
